Planning is underway for this important new piece of infrastructure at 29 Anna Street, Beaudesert.
It’s proposed that the existing structure will be demolished to make way for the construction of a new single storey station with capacity for 55 staff.
Funding for the project was allocated in the 2019/20 state budget, with construction scheduled to commence during the 2020/21 financial year.
Police Minister Mark Ryan said it was important that the Beaudesert region has a world-class facility as police based there service a population of over 13,800 people including the communities of Rathdowney, Boonah and Kalbar.
“This government is investing in providing the Queensland Police Service with the resources and facilities police need to keep the community safe.
“The Queensland Police Service is committed to delivering front line policing services to every region of the state.
“Beaudesert police deliver a quality service to their community and we are backing those police with the infrastructure and the resources they need,” Minister Ryan said.
